Our theme for our first Gorge on Tap of the year is climate change. We will test your knowledge on the City of Vancouver and climate change with a few rounds of trivia.

We will also have presentations on local action plans that are taking place currently in Vancouver and the Columbia River Gorge. The Alliance for Community Engagement (ACE) will join us to talk about climate activism in Vancouver, and Friends will present on the Gorge Commission’s Climate Plan. Presentations will be followed by audience Q&A.

This event is taking place at an incredible moment for Vancouver. In the next few weeks, Vancouver City Council is poised to pass two important policies: One of the nation’s most ambitious Climate Action Plans, and a permanent ordinance against new and expanded bulk fossil fuel infrastructure. ACE is making new allies and building community support for these two policies.

Gorge on Tap is a quarterly Friends event traveling to communities in and around the Columbia Gorge to provide an update on conservation issues and recreation programs.

See you there!
