Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
Eagle Creek Fire Stewardship
Friends has teamed up with Trailkeepers of Oregon, Pacific Crest Trail Association, and Washington Trail Association in response to the outpouring of support to volunteer in the Eagle Creek fire recovery efforts. The team is collaborating to offer a suite of complementary stewardship and trail work parties this spring and summer. Please register below to receive news and updates on upcoming work parties via our new stewardship email list.
Join Friends this spring and summer along with the Mt. Hood and Columbia River Gorge Regional Tourism Alliance, Oregon State Parks, and the U.S. Forest Service to educate hikers at popular trailheads throughout the Gorge and Mt. Hood. We're looking for out-going volunteers to answer hiker and Eagle Creek fire related questions, promote responsible hiker ethics like Leave No Trace, and highlight Ready, Set, Gorge tips.
Stewardship Work Parties
Lend-a-hand this spring and summer by helping clean up landscapes, pulling invasive plants, collecting and planting native seeds, removing old fencing, and more. No experience needed – we’ll provide all tools and training. Most stewardship work parties are from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
