Learn how to treat an injury or illness in the backcountry where help is delayed. This two-day, hands-on interactive class led by NW Responder has been customized over the years for our hike leaders and shepherds. The first day is spent indoors followed by a field session on day two. Upon successful completion each student receives a Northwest Responder two-year Wilderness First Aid certification card. The program follows the basic outline of the Red Cross two-day Wilderness First Aid course.
There is an add-on CPR certification (in combination with WFA training) directly following Day 1 of the WFA, from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Friends hike leaders and shepherds are required* to have CPR certification.
Please note: We cannot issue refunds for cancellations after October 1 unless another participant takes your spot.
