Climate Change Action Plan

Friends worked closely with the Columbia River Gorge Commission this past year to develop the Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP), with Friends’ staff serving on the technical committee to incorporate high-climate resilience lands into the CCAP and to integrate Friends’ priorities and feedback from the community. It was a process that strengthened the relationship between Friends and the Gorge Commission as we developed a better understanding of each other’s climate priorities and goals.

In December 2022, the CCAP was approved unanimously. While there is plenty of work ahead for Friends and other community organizations working in this space, we are thrilled to be able to celebrate and reflect on this success.
