PORTLAND, OR – Friends of the Columbia Gorge announced an additional gift today of $20,000 to support Oregon's Kitchen Table's "Be There for The Gorge" crowdfunding campaign – bringing the total Friends campaign contribution to $30,000.
The six-week campaign, inspired by the outpouring of public concern over trails damaged in the Eagle Creek fire, was created to help support the U.S. Forest Service in rebuilding trails between Multnomah Falls and Angel’s Rest.
In a live announcement of the additional contribution on Friends of the Columbia Gorge’s Facebook page, Friends’ Executive Director Kevin Gorman said, “We’re very excited to do this and we hope that in these final days that not only Friends but other people will donate and make a difference, and make a difference for the Gorge.” The crowdfunding campaign ends on March 15.
