Cascade Locks to Bonneville Dam Kayak Tour, OR
Thursday, May 23, 2019
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
*The Cascade Locks to Bonneville Dam Kayak Tour has been re-routed due to strong river currents.*
Instead, please join Field Representative Peter Cornelison for a kayak trip across the Columbia from Dalton Point in Oregon to Cigar Rock on the Washington shore and back. We’ll pass Phoca Rock, a river beacon named by Lewis & Clark for the abundant harbor seals spotted in the river in the early 1800s.
This outing is for experienced kayakers and canoeists* only. You will need to supply your own gear; Friends does not provide equipment or instruction. You must also be a competent swimmer. *Canoes with floatation and sit on top kayaks are OK if it is not too windy.
View: What to wear for river trips.
(This outing was originally scheduled for May 17)
