There is no place on earth for hiking like the Columbia River Gorge!

Join Friends on its annual Spring and Fall Hiking Programs! Our volunteer hike leaders lead 100+ hikes each year to both favorite spots and hidden gems of the Gorge. Some of our hikes and outings are member-only. Take advantage of the expert knowledge of our hike leaders on Gorge history, geology and conservation issues. Choose a hike from our Hike with Friends section.

Please note: Our Spring season runs from March-July, and our Fall season runs from Sep-Oct. Outside of hiking season, visit the Plan Your Own Hike section to create your own Gorge adventure. Friends offers detailed trail information on over 100 trails throughout the Gorge. Whether you want a quick out-and-back waterfall hike, a 10 mile traverse, or a wildflower outing, find it here.

Lead Friends hikes in the Gorge! Hike Leaders take hikers to special places and educate them about Gorge protection, geology and natural history. Hike Shepherds assist leaders in ensuring that hikers have a positive and safe experience. All abilities and experience levels are welcome!
