Camas Patch is a scenic 9-acre property near Carson, Washington. The property offers sweeping views of the Columbia River and Wind Mountain. Before the transfer to Friends’ ownership, this land was preserved thanks to Trust for Public Land and the diligent work of local botanical activists Russ Jolley and Barbara Robinson.
Named for the culturally important camas flower bed that blooms each spring, Camas Patch also features beautiful Oregon white oak woodland with a diverse lichen community. The area provides shelter for a variety of native bird species, such as American goldfinch, dark-eyed junco, wild turkey, and acorn and pileated woodpecker.
