This 50-acre woodland of Douglas fir near Duncan Creek sits between two large swaths of public land. Downstream is a magical land of moss, ferns, and cascading waterfalls. We talked with this landowner for over 15 years, knowing the land was susceptible to logging and that it provided a critical trail connection between the two public land holdings. Purchase of this land protects it from logging and makes a 17-mile trail from Cape Horn to Beacon Rock possible.
