42nd Friends Annual Meeting (In Person)

Sunday, April 30, 2023

11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Join us in person and learn how your actions protect the Gorge. We'll celebrate success and outline our vision for the year ahead.

Join us on the banks of the Columbia River at the Columbia Gorge Conference Center in Hood River as we gather for our first in-person annual meeting since 2019. So much has happened this past year:

  • The Gorge Commission adopted the first ever Climate Change Action Plan
  • The Zimmerly gravel mine continues to be litigated in the courts
  • Land stewardship carries on throughout the Gorge
  • Friends’ Land Trust purchased additional lands in the Gorge.

We look forward to celebrating these wins with our community, and sharing details on the coming year of how you can help protect, preserve, and steward the Gorge.

Special guest: Bowen Blair, former Friends’ executive director, will join us for a conversation about A Force for Nature: Nancy Russell's Fight to Save the Columbia Gorge, his new book showcasing the successful campaign to establish and protect the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.

Join us for a free Legacy Planning Seminar from 11 a.m.-Noon
