Join environmental educator Roland Begin at this national historic site for an informational walk to uncover the rich cultural history of the area, beginning with the Chinook-speaking tribes who have lived since time immemorial along "Big River" and extending to the days of the EuroAmerican pioneers and the events around Fort Cascades. As we go we'll learn Gorge geology, and identify native plants and learn their ethnobotanical uses.
