Sunday, June 7, 2020

4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Easy: 3-4 miles | little elev. gain

Due to coronavirus concerns this event has been canceled.

Learn about the collaborative restoration efforts of many partner organizations to preserve this multi-use area from Courtney Yilk of Confluence; Bill Weiler, Restoration Project Coordinator for the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council; and Friends of Sandy River Delta President Jeff Schuh, on this late afternoon hike. We'll visit renowned architect Maya Lin’s Bird Blind and see the results of the largest deciduous forest habitat restoration project in the Pacific Northwest.

This is a multi-use area so please know there will be lots of off-leash dogs running around. Leader Jeff Schuh of Friends of the Sandy River Delta will be bringing his dog along for this outing. If you do not like dogs - this is not the place for you.

Please wear sturdy hike boots/shoes, and bring your daypack with snacks, water, and layers for protection against the elements. View the recommended 10+ Essentials List to help you pack.

Before this outing, make sure you understand our Hike Program Information & Guidelines.
