Mosier Plateau Wildflowers, OR

Saturday, April 25, 2020

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Moderate: 3.5 miles | 600-ft elev. gain (Members-only)

Enjoy panoramic views with leader Jane Corboy as we hike up along Mosier Creek, past a tumbling waterfall amidst gaudy spring wildflower displays to a beautiful viewpoint with vistas toward Coyote Wall and the rolling hills of the Mosier Valley. We will stop frequently to identify blooming wildflowers, visible geologic phenomena, and to discuss the ecological threats and opportunities facing this vibrant community at the edge of the eastern Gorge. We can also talk about this trail’s role in the Towns to Trails initiative, linking outdoor recreation with nearby communities.

Afterwards, those who are interested can stop by a local establishment for refreshment (optional) and continued conversation.

Please wear sturdy hike boots/shoes, and bring your daypack with a lunch, snacks, water, and layers for protection against the elements. View the recommended 10+ Essentials List to help you pack.

Before this outing, make sure you understand our Hike Program Information & Guidelines.
