Historic Columbia River Hwy State Trail Bike Ride: Viento to Cascade Locks

Saturday, April 25, 2020

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Moderate: 3.5 miles | 600-ft elev. gain

Join leader Dave Crout on a ride along the new section of Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail from Viento State Park to Cascade Locks and back. We’ll enjoy the incredible views not accessible by autos, while marveling at the engineering accomplishments of the new trail.

There is one significant hill before you get to Cascade Locks (~700-ft over the course of ~2 miles). Participants can opt out of the climb and just turn around at the halfway point at Wyeth Trailhead for a 10-mile out-and-back ride. The climb between Wyeth and Cascade Locks is moderately difficult.

This is a paved ride, so mountain, road or electric bikes are fine. Participants to bring their own bike and gear.
