Windhorse (Volcano Ridge) Vineyard Wildflowers & Wine, OR

Saturday, May 4, 2019

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Meander among the picturesque hills of Windhorse Vineyard (formerly, Volcano Ridge Vineyard) with viticulturist, soil scientist and geologist Alan Busacca. We’ll learn how local growers employ sustainable viticulture and farming practices to earn LIVE and Salmon-Safe certifications for environmentally and socially responsible wine-growing. This picturesque landscape, offering views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams, will be abloom with spring wildflowers under native oak trees.

“Windhorse” is the translation of a Tibetan word that means “the essential goodness of all things”

After our walk, we’ll enjoy a rare, private tasting of estate Chardonnay, Merlot and Zinfandel (some of which made from grapes dating back to the 19th century!) with Alan, and Lonnie Wright at The Pines, 1852 Ranch. Opportunity to purchase wine from the winemakers.

$20/person includes private tour, estate wine tasting flight, tasting snacks.
