Multnomah Falls Lodge Native Planting

Saturday, December 1, 2018

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Join Friends of the Columbia Gorge and the U.S. Forest Service to plant native shrubs at the Multnomah Falls lodge.

This effort is part of a larger restoration project that was started in spring 2018. To mitigate the spread of invasive plants, stewardship volunteers had removed over 75 industrial bags of English ivy from the project site. The next step in the restoration project includes planting native shrubs to help prevent the English ivy from getting re-established.

No experience is necessary and all tools will be provided. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Get ready to have fun!

As a thank you, volunteers earn a NW Forest Pass after completing 24 hours of service with the U.S. Forest Service.
