Join Stewardship Coordinator Sara Woods at the Lyle Cherry Orchard to plant and seed native species as part of a larger restoration project to control yellow starthistle on this 540-acre land trust property.
We’ll carry plants and equipment a half-mile uphill (1,000-ft elevation gain) to our work site, where the existing trail will be decommissioned and rerouted. Come on any or all work party dates. Additional work party dates include: Tuesday, October 30 and Saturday, November 3.
No experience is necessary and tools will be provided. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes and get ready to have fun!
*Warning: We will be working in and around poison oak.*
