Development Officer Pam Davee and board members Gwen Farnham and Geoff Carr will guide us on the Gibbons Creek Trail at Steigerwald National Wildlife Refuge to celebrate the success of our Preserve the Wonder land campaign. We’ll get special access onto the 160-acre Steigerwald Shores property adjacent to Steigerwald Lake Wildlife Refuge (this adds an extra 1.5 miles to the route using Gibbons Creek Trail). Hear an update on the major $22 million restoration for this refuge, ensuring better habitat for salmon, birds and other wildlife, while taking in scenic river views.
Columbia Gorge Refuge Steward Jared Strawderman will provide knowledge on and expertise spotting resident and visiting birds and other wildlife.
