This event was originally incorrectly listed as a hearing for the 401 water certification for the Millennium coal terminal.

This hearing is actually for a site-specific waste water permit, which pertains to any operations at the site, and is not a critical permit for the construction of a coal export facility at this location.

While the public can still attend this hearing, this permit is not opposed by the Power Past Coal Coalition (as this waste water permit would be required for any use of the site) and people interested in continuing to fight the proposed coal terminal would probably find their efforts better suited to other opportunities for comment and action – such as on the upcoming “shoreline” permit process expected later this year.
