Make a weekend of it! We have added five Play and Stay weekends to the hiking season. Join us on a guided hike, then stay overnight, enjoying all the Gorge has to offer, including local businesses that support Gorge protection!
Play and Stay is a part of the Gorge Towns to Trails project. Supporting local businesses and sustainable communities is an important part of protecting the Gorge. We hope you'll support the following Friends' business members.

Saturday evening at 7 pm at Skamania Lodge for a special presentation by John Harrison, the author of A Woman Alone. Enjoy an engaging and fascinating story of Gorge history about Mona Bell and her life in the Gorge in the 1930s. Particularly, her relationship with her lover Sam Hill, and what happened to Mona and their son after her hilltop mansion, a gift from Sam Hill, was condemned to make way for the construction of Bonneville Dam. Books will be for sale. NO RSPV required, just show up!
